The Force Awakens is heading to 3D BluRay later this year, just in time for the christmas chopping season, the theatrical release of Rogue One and maybe, possibly a little sneak peek at Episode VIII...
The news came yesterday that the movie would finally make its way to BluRay 3D starting October 31st in North America and rolling out to other territories after that. No sign of a UK release at the moment, but fingers crossed that the disc will be "region free" so those wanting the doc will be able to import it from the USA or Canada.
The film will bring a fresh package of special features, including an audio commentary from director J.J. Abrams. See further details on the special features included below via MakingStarWars.net:

The last BluRay I bought as Ted, since then I've been streaming from iTunes, Netflix and Amazon Prime so this will be the first time I've sat by the front door waiting for something to drop through the letter box. I'm really excited fro this set, i think its the special features that sell me on these things more than the feature content itself. I did see The Force Awakens in IMAX 3D once, which was great, but being a wearer of glasses makes wearing 3D glasses over the top of those quite uncomfortable. Ill try it though, at least once.
Will you be buying this edition of The Force Awakens? Are you excited forth new special features? What is your opinion on 3D? Is there a chance that we might get a super secret special feature look at Episode VIII on this set? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
