This is abosultely, positively 100% speculation on my part, which is to say there is no evidence to support what I'm about to say, but here goes. I think we might get a trailer for Rogue One before The Force Awakens...
We have just gotten two trailer is as many weeks for two of the biggest movies being released in 2016, Captain America Civil War and Batman V Superman Dawn Of Justice. They are out there now and being enjoyed by the same fanboys who are salivating for The Force Awakens. I'll embed them below for your enjoyment, but that makes me wonder; why wouldn't Disney/Marvel hold Civil War and drop it alongside the The Force Awakens release? Are they so certain that the audience for Civil War is solid enough that they don't need the boost from debuting the trailer with The Force Awakens? Or are they saving the Star Wars gold spot in the trailer set for the teaser trailer debut of Rogue One?
I have to honest here, I really think if Disney/Lucasfilm do put a Rogue One trailer ahead of The Force Awakens, I might stop breathing with pure joy. It wouldn't be out of place either. The trailer The Force Awakens dropped a year from the film's release, and the potential audience for Rogue One will definitely be on the receiving end so it'd make perfect sense.
Do you think we will see the Rogue One trailer on The Force Awakens? If not when do think we can expect to see it onscreen? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
