It's been a rough couple of weeks for Princess Leia's Gold (don't call it slave) Bikini. First it gets the boot from any and all future Star Wars comic books, novels and promotional art, then it gets sold. Yep, the Gold a Bikini is now the Sold Bikini, but fortunately the proud new owner is willing to tell us all about it...
The man who purchased the most famous two piece in sci-if history is Gus Lopez. Gus is no stranger to Star Wars Collectables as he is the proud owner of the original Death Star, and in a fascinating article on StarWars.com, Mr. Lopez explains how it feels to take delivery of such an important item. He describes how carefully packed the "lot" was and has a wide selection of photographs documenting the items display.
Head over to StarWars.com to read the full article and see the collection of images. Meanwhile watch the video below which shows David W. Collins of the ComLink and Star Wars Oxygen meeting Mr. Lopez and seeing, first hand, the beautiful Death Star model. You have to hear it's story, it's mind blowing this thing still exists.
