It looks like some stockings will be left a little light this christmas as Lego warns a rise in Star Wars Lego's sale may seriously harm the popular toys availability this year...
Sky News reported that the Danish toy company are blaming the 18% increase in sales for the short fall in availability. Lego spokesman Roar Trangbaek had this to say:
Lego (which means play) was established is 1932 and has gone on to be, among other things, the worlds leading producer of tyres. Even if they are tiny. The Danish company started producing Star Wars sets in 1999, around the release of Episode I The Phantom Menace, and has gone on to enjoy enormous success with the franchise.
Kets hope they learn from their mistakes because with a new Star Wars movie every year for the foreseeable future, there promises to be a lot of unhappy kids (both big and small) at christmas time.
