GQ have a piece up asking if Disney are taking the advantage of the Star Wars audience by making lots of Star Wars movies, proposed TV shows and novels and comic books etc. They also seem to have gotten a memo I missed that could be massive Star Wars news, or a mistake on their part...
GQ are suggesting that maybe Dsiney are going a little too far with the seemingly endless comic books, novels, computer games, tv shows and spin off movies they plan to release over the coming years. They even go as far to claim there are a dozen spin off films planned.
Wait, what? When did that happen?
GQ have made the mistake of thinking the S Star Wars Story series of movies will be trilogy films and not one offs. Which is understandable, because clearly that's where they are going, but that hasn't be announced yet. For now Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is a one shot based on a piece of the opening crawl to Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope. The Han Solo A Star Wars Story film is only a one off as far as we know. The chances are it will become a trilogy, I mean; who wouldn't want that right? But slapping Disney on the three fingered, white gloved hand now door a series of films that may not even happen is a little premature doubt you think?
With @ThatKevinSmith in mind, let's throw the question out to Twitter. Is there too much Star Wars now that Dsiney are behind the wheel? HAve your say below:
