Peter over on /Film interviewed Kathleen Kennedy at the press junket for The Force Awakens and talk turned to two George Lucas projects left in development hell following the sale of Lucasfilm to Disney. Here is what she had to say about their fate...
Firstly there's the TV show. Lucasfilm had developed a Star Wars live action series, about 100 scripts in total, that would play like a Deadwood in the Star Wars universe. There would be some humour but also some drama, described as Empire on steroids. The show was to be called Star Wars Underworld, and could still find its way to Netflix I guess, here is what Kathleen had to say about Underworld:
The plan was to set the show in the seedy underbelly of Coruscant between Star Wars Episode III Revenge Of The Sith and Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope. Perhaps we will finally get this show as Lucasfilm and Disney continue to "mix it up" with the Star Wars brand.
There was also a planned video game called Star Wars 1313, which, considering the success of Star Wars Battlefront might actually get made. You can see a bunch of 1313 art work here. I'm sure you'll agree that looks pretty cool. Here is what Kathleen thinks about 1313's potential:

So if The Force Awakens and Star Wars Battlefront isn't enough, and if the promise of a new film every year and countless novels, comic book and audio books still isn't enough, you can look forward to a potential George Lucas conceived TV Show, possibly on Netflix, and a video game based on Uncle George's ideas.
Sounds like a great time to be a Star Wars fan right? Read more on /Film at the source link below.
