J.J. Abrams is going to be shooting Star Wars Episode IX this summer according to Disney Marketing President Ricky Strauss, who introduced the announcement a D23 Japan over the weekend...
Mr Strauss was escorted onto the stage by C-3PO and R2-D2 where he introduced a short video of director J.J. Abrams. In the short clip, JJ reassured fans that he was hard at work writing the final episode in the sequel trilogy before shooting starts in the summer.
This was followed by a short behind the scenes reel from Solo: A Star Wars Story, which I'm sure we will be getting very soon.
How do you feel about Episode IX shooting this summer? Should give us plenty to talk about after Solo is released no?
Thank you for reading,
