Last night an image of Poe Dameron's modified X-Wing, an Incom-FreiTek T-70 was featured on MakingStarWars.net ahead of Empire magazine's release this Thursday. See that image, and, especially what seems to be lurking in the background, below...
Here is the image of from Empire-
The X-Wing looks cool enough. I like the added thruster.A little extra power is always helpful. As one of the TSW VIP's (Omer, ship expert!) pointed out, you can see BB-8 in the rear socket there. I also dig the new Dreadnought Class First Order Star Destroyers hanging there in front of Poe's ship. But what is that behind them? It looks like a structure of some sort. Here's a close up.
Is that a Death Star? The detail on the surface doesn't seem quite right, but we did kick it around in the Talk Star Wars VIP facebook group. It could be an old piece of Imperial tech the First Order are using, but that doesn't seem to be their style. Could it be Snoke's command ship, The Supremacy? Check out a couple of images of The Supremacy, below. It doesn't seem to fit, in my opinion. via Screen Rant
Could Snoke and the First Order be using Eclipse Class Star Destroyers as escorts for The Supremacy? And are those in turn flanked by the new Dreadnought class Star Destroyers? It would "one up" the Executor's reveal in Star Wars Episode V The Empire Strikes Back is a Dreadnought is dwarfed by and Eclipse Class ship which is then in turn dwarfed by The Supremacy. I'm certain my jaw would drop.
What do you think? Is Snoke build a massive star fleet of giant ships in The Last Jedi? Could that structure be a Death Star? Could this even be The Eclipse from Empires End? Leave your thoughts the comments below.
