X-Men Apocalypse - Nightcrawler

Have you had enough of superhero movies for a while? No? Good, because today we got our first official look at one of the new (old) X-Men from X-Men Apocalypse: Nightcrawler. The bamffing blue mutant will be played by Kodi Smit-Mcphee, and he certainly looks the part.

It wasn’t just Nightcrawler news today either. It’s the first day of principal photography on the latest X-Movie and to celebrate we were treated to the below image via Bryan Singer’s twitter account. The image features a cinema sporting “The Return Of The Jedi” on the marquee, placing this movie firmly in 1983.

Here what Clevver Movies had to say about today’s news:

“Apocalypse takes place a decade after Days of Future Past and is a seamless next step in the story. The altering of time has unleashed a new and uniquely powerful enemy. Charles/Professor X, Erik/Magneto, Raven/Mystique, and Hank/Beast are joined by young Cyclops, Storm, Jean and others as the X-Men must fight their most formidable foe yet – an ancient unrelenting force determined to cause an apocalypse unlike any in human history.”  – X-Men Movies Wiki
