Fant4stic Poster Set

A set of posters have been released for Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four reboot which is hitting cinemas this summer. The four character posters show our new heroes infall their, ahem, Fantastic glory. Check them out below:

In addition to the character posters above we got an  quad featuring the whole team -

There has been a distinct lack of interest in this film, at least from the people I’ve spoken to about it. But since the most recent trailer hit I’ve gotten a lot more interested. In fact I’m bginningto wonder what this film might mean for 20th Century Fox’s super hero universe.

We are hearing that Bryan Singer’s X-Men universe (the Singerverse anyone?) is ending after Wolverine (Wolverin3 anyone? - ok I’ll stop that), could the X-Men find themselves rebooted within the Fantastic Four universe?

Now I’m not basing that on anything but suspicion. I personally doubt very much that Fox wouldn’t be considering a unified cinematic universe in the style of Marvel’s and the one DC are trying to cobble together over at Warner Bros. With two huge slices of Marvels IP sitting on their desk, is it really likely that they wouldn’t want to cross pollenate these franchises? If I were calling the shots over at Fox I might have chosen to hold back the FF until the X-Men were done and then do a huge reboot, but theres no reason why this Fantastic Four couldn’t establish a universe where we meet mutants in the sequel film. I doubt we will get a Fantastic Four sequel before Wolverine 3 hits.

Still they could always chose to reboot the FF they way Sony reboot Spidey…

Heres the official synopsis for Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four reboot and below that is the latest trailer:

“FANTASTIC FOUR, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy”  – 20th Century Fox
